Four “Must Attend” Events for Commuter Students

The life of a commuter can become overwhelming and stressful at this point during the semester. To relieve some stress, we encourage you to utilize the offerings of Off-Campus Student Services. Below you will find a series of events that will certainly brighten your day:

  1. Morning Welcomes: Start your morning off right by attending one of our Morning Welcomes located in various commuter parking lots including X-Lot and W-Lot. Find our table near the bus stop as we hand out information and offer FREE coffee and breakfast. Whether it’s Dunkin Donuts or freshly made breakfast sandwiches, you won’t be let down. You can find out when and where the Morning Welcome’s will be held by visiting our website at http://www.offcampus.uconn.edu!
  2. Commuter Coffee Wednesdays: Every Wednesday morning from 9-10AM, come stop by our office located in the Student Union Room 315 to enjoy some hot coffee and granola bars provided by our office. Once again, it’s free, and we would love for all commuters to stop in and chat with our employees while sipping some fresh coffee.
  3. Annual Pasta Dinner and Food Drive: This event will be held on Monday December 12th, 2016 and in order to indulge on this pasta dinner, all you need to bring is your student ID and a canned food item. It is not only an opportunity to enjoy a delicious dinner, but bringing the canned food item will help others in need. Since this event is being held during finals week you won’t have to worry about making dinner that night on top of studying. It’s a win-win situation.
  4. Commuter Appreciation Week: We always want to make it known how much we admire and appreciate all UConn commuters, so this week is just for you! We had a successful week of events this Fall, but keep an eye out for the Spring 2017 Commuter Appreciation Week held April 3rd through the 7th. There will be events happening every day for commuter students, so be sure to attend as many as possible!

These are only a few of our most popular events for commuter students, and it’s important that you take the time to visit us throughout the semester to make the best out of your experience here at UConn.
